1993 Carina E front suspension replacement

We have this family owned Carina since new, anyway I've inherited it and decided to upgrade the front suspension as the shocks & springs

were looking very rusty.  I got a good deal on KYB shocks & springs, however the car sits much higher than before at the front.

I double checked the OEM parts numbers, springs were KYB RA1608 and shocks Right: 333197 Left: 333198.

Being a 1.6 is this vehicle much lighter than the 2.0 ones?  Is it likely to settle back to factory height after some miles?

it will take a good 1000+ miles for it to settle the oem has 30+ years and many 1000s of miles to sag and settle - as in life the older you get things tend to go south, and need a bit more support and maintenance
