Nasty traffic warden. I was stopped immediately behind this car on the right with my rear end about half blocking the ginnel with the black gate, blue Badge on display. A traffic warden knocked on the window and said I had to move, I could not park there legally. I asked why not and she said because of the kerb marking.

I got out fo the car and there are no loading markings on the double yellows to the left of the ginnel. If you zoom right into the waste bin you can see there used to be a no loading sign on the curved double yellow. I pointed out that there was no "no loading" sign on the right of the ginnel and she said that is covered by the no loading signs 50 yards further down the street, after the parking places.

As far as I know once a double yellow changes to legal parking places then the no loading zone ends at that point, the other side of these four or five parking places so that double yellow on the right of the ginnel is not covered by no loading signs fifty yards away to the right.

At that time some bloke came talking to the traffic warden so I waited until she gave me her attention again and all she said was "you have had time to move I am giving you a ticket" just as I was setting off. I drove round the block several times and pulled up next to the traffic warden to ask if I can pick my wife up there if she is waiting and she said "yes, now move or I will give you another ticket, you will get this one through the post because you drove off".

Clearly she was having a bad day for some reason.

I think I will not pay this if it arrives and just wondering if it is a solicitor job or maybe I should defend it myself.

Any thoughts?

If you do go to court you wont be able to use google image as it is more than 2 years out of date.

i would go back and take a picture of the road markings as they are today.
Btw i believe you are not considered parked until 10 minutes have expired
