Rear fog lamp MOT failure

Could anyone with a 2011 yaris 1.3vtti please send me a photo of the rear light cluster showing your fog light.

My vitz just failed its mot at toyota as it's missing a fog lamp but they wont help in anyway to get one installed or provide any advice to allow me to source one, so I need to see what it looks like in situ so I can source it and then struggle to find an installer.

The next difficulty will be getting it installed since it's now got no mot and I technically cant drive it

thanks

Is this a JDM import?

You can try looking for a second hand light cluster for your car I presume it fitted but not working because of a track fault within the cluster itself.

Try puting the car in reverse with engine off it maybe the opposite side light to reverse light.

If it's an actual JDM Vitz, it might not come with fogs as they aren't a requirement in Japan. Usually people install after-market ones when they're imported to be compliant so it's surprising yours doesn't unless it's only just been imported, in which case you should take it back to the importer as they really should have sorted that out.

That said, hunt around in the car for any mystery switches - That might be the fog light switch!

I suspect Toyota MOT testers wouldn't think to look anywhere but the main stalks as they only ever see UK Toyotas.

If it's a Jap import it definitely won't have one.

I'm puzzled as to it ever being legal. I thought imports had to go through an IVA/MOT process before getting a UK registration at all. Has that changed recently?

over ten years old it just needs an MOT, it may have been done by Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles

iirc the vitz doesn't have the cut-out for a fog light in the bumper

what do your rear lights look light

2011 vitz would make it a Mk3, if it is, there are a few different types of rear lights - also check around the steering wheel area for a switch

can you PM me Your VIN
