Hi folks,

To keep both sides of the family happy, my partner and I are driving from Norfolk to Paris, and then to Aberdeen and back to Norfolk over the festive period - some 1,800 miles. My TS 2.0 is currently wearing nearly new Bridgestone Turanza 6s (7mm) on the front and Hankook Ventus Prime 4s (6mm) on the rear. Given the weather we have had in the UK recently and the long term forecast, I'm considering getting a set of winters or 4 seasons to avoid any issues. However, I don't realistically have any storage for the summers and I have been quoted £39+VAT/week for a storage unit large enough for 4 tyres which is extortionate.

Any ideas/opinions?

I'm kicking myself that I didn't get the all season version of the Turanza's in August.

Get all season and sell the summer tyres on eBay (or on here).

Or get Michelin Cross Climate tyres and not have the need to change them.

If you are buying 4 then Goodyear Vector 4Seasons G3 for your car are currently ~£80 fully fitted from National Tyre with a 20% discount code.

Michelin CC2s are ~£130

I have had Goodyear Vectors on one of my cars, very good tyres.

Thanks folks. I contacted my Toyota dealership and they're offering £48 lifetime storage for a set of tyres so the plan is to get some Vector 4seasons for the winter time, store the summer tyres until March/April, switch and work my way through 2 sets of tyres. Once the summers are done, I'll stick to 4 seasons 🙂

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons and Michelin Crossclimate are both very good tyres so I tend to go for whichever of the two has the best offer on at the time. Currently it does seem to be Goodyear.

Try to sell these on ebooks is better option.
Storage is one thing but then fitting on is another and can easily cost as much as £80. + £48 storage , that’s not worth it.
All season all year around is better especially for uk climate.
