I have similar issues with the 12V Battery widely reported on this forum and fitted a BM2 Battery monitor to keep an eye on the Battery state from my phone so I could charge up when <12.2V.  I noticed over the last 3 months when driving, the car the car holds 12.8V steady which does little to charge the battery.   Today I did a 60 mile journey and checked the BM2 battery state and for the whole journey time the car was holding 14.4V which charged the battery pretty well to full.

I am just curious why it did this today and can only assume it was due to the cold air temperature (3 deg C) or that I had the heated seats on, any ideas?
If the car always did this I think the battery would stay fully charged much longer based on my weekly usage.

It will only charge the Battery what it needs, next time  you go for a drive  switch everything off and see what the volts are once the volts is settled start switching on ac , seats , lights and you will see more volts going into the Battery.

Will do but my experience over the last 10 months is it doesn’t charge the Battery when it needs to as most of the time my Battery would happily run down below 12V and eventually keel over if I didn’t step in and charge it.   To me this is one of the main problems linked to these Battery issues, the lack of any charging while driving.   I will go for a drive tomorrow with the heated seats off 🥶 and see if the charge voltage drops back to 12.4V. 👍

It could possibly explain what happened to me back in thee summer. Had been on a couple of decent runs, two days later flat as a pancake at 7.8 volts. Not happened before even after a layup in Winter and hasn't happened since - yet. I've bought a Battery pack as a standby.
