Squeaking noise after hitting huge puddle.

I've had this aygo for around a year but honestly it's been amazing. Moving me out of my house I've loved it. Today I hit a huge puddle at roughly 30mph bar a huge splash nothing seemed diffrent or odd. It was only until I started the car around 1 hour later when reversing out my parking spot a huge squeaking sound came from what I presume is the engine. I don't have any idea or clue about the mechanics of it all. But if I was guessing the belt was slipping as it was likely drenched. Any other ideas of what it might be? The squeaking only happened 3 times. Around 30mph then stopped after a few seconds. Control seems fine. Etc.

Yes, could well be the alternator belt slipping. It may help to tighten a little, should stop it
