Arrrrrghhh grrrrrr... Profile not loading

Had no problems for weeks. Then today I got two different reasons why my profile failed to load. One was this in the photo regarding the network and another one were it just went into guest mode and no AA.

The profile loading seems to be mediated by both bluetooth and the DCM.

Switch off your smartphone's bluetooth or it decides to be otherwise busy like connecting to something in the house, or as I've discovered, connecting to the Dashcam, then don't expect your profile to load. And thus no AA.

But this new one also seems to be DCM related.

Here's what I think is happening...

Your smartphone is your profile key and that's achieved via bluetooth connection after ignition on.

However, that only unlocks the next step which is the DCM so it can reach back to a Toyota server to say, he's got the right key, can he have his profile please.

It's such a stupid dumb system. Lots of car settings are associated with your profile including loading up AA.

In the US they can select the key fob as their profile association device but we can't do that over here. I've tried. There's no option when you follow the steps on YouTube for the 2024 US prime.

I can ... I have ... 😄 ... but it doesn't really make any difference other than I can pop out in the car and leave my 'phone at home (as if).

I've seen that error screen just the once so far - I just hit cancel and carried on. It hasn't come back [yet] and everything seems happy now.

As you suggest, I presume it uses DCM to 'phone home and it was simply that that hiccupped ...

You / we could try switching off, getting out, locking the doors, walking round the car and starting again - the classic Windows fix.

Or, just clicking Cancel and carrying on. All the error message states is that it can't get your latest profile - it doesn't say that it doesn't have your profile, and I'm pretty sure that it put my seat back in the right place for me. (Yes, I know that is a bizifrez thing but it essentially the same multimedia system and profile handshake.)

No, I don't know ... I'm just thinking out loud ...

Not on the RAV PHEV I assume but am intrigued if I'm missing a hidden option and there's a clue in however you did it on yours?

It is a problem because AA doesn't work at that point. And as I use it all the time for music and Gmaps or Waze navigation including traffic it's kind of a problem.

Just cancelling does not then allow AA to start.

After profile not synced it goes to MyT login and yet again asks me for my password.

It's very poor.
