Help with reverse camera cabling please. Auris 2014 Hybrid

I have fitted an Eonon Android Head unit so as to get Android Auto & DAB. All is working very well using the Eonon instructions but have a wiring question that I need clarification on. Hoping that I can get an answer that doesn't fry my electrics !

I am trying to retain the factory camera which I understand is 6V. I am now on my 3rd camera retention kit that is supposed to be plug & play but none have worked - wrong plug, no regulator etc.... Factory camera works & have tested it with the original stereo. New stereo triggers a beeping reverse screen with guide lines but no image so I know I have correctly connected the reverse trigger wire. I connected the cheapo reverse cam that came with the kit & that works fine. Just need to connect the factory camera. I have found what I think is the correct plug/batch of cables to connect to but don't know which wire does what. There is contradictory information in different posts online so looking for someone who has been there/done it themselves. I hope to cannibalise a kit that is "nearly right" which has an RCA plug and a 12V to 6V regulator. If I can identify the correct wires in the OEM harness then hopefully I can connect with some bullet connectors & get it all running.

Here's a few photos of the plug in the original harness, it has 4 wires;

White   Silver Stripes Outer RCA Sleeve
Black  Silver Stripes +6V OR inner pin RCA
Red    Silver Stripes inner pin RCA OR +6V
Orange  Not used

From my extensive research including on this forum, I get consensus that the orange wire is a "shield" that doesn't need connecting & the white is probably outer RCA sleeve. BUT the Black and Red wires are often interchanged on different cars so the question is which one is power & which RCA in this instance ? The new HU has a batch of wires with RCA, GND & Reverse trigger wires that correspond to wires on the kit & once I know what the wires are I can complete the job & drive in reverse  with vim and vigour. I just don't want to start hacking away at my boot lid & trim to run the wires for a new camera when the stock camera is so neat & functional. Here's photos of the retention kit & the new HU. Note that the plug that was delivered is not the same as the plug in the photo or I wouldn't be writing this post. Any advice will be gratefully received.

its the standard 24 pin

You will need to connect the 6v voltage reg to a 12v reverse signal and ground, if you wire it to another 12v you can burn out the regulator if left on for extended time

Socket or wire side of the plug

Thanks for prompt response Mr Flash, yes I'd seen the warnings about overheating, the wire marked "12v Backup Camera" from the new HU is only live when Reverse is selected - triggered by a reverse wire elsewhere on the loom.

So the red wire with Silver bands in position 11 connects to that 12V wire with it's 12-6V regulator. Orange wire @ 23 is a "shield" & doesn't connect. No mention of RCA in your schematic but I'm fairly sure it will be White = Outer RCA Sleeve, Black = Inner pin RCA. GND to any GND available or chassis.
I'll report back when it's all done. If anyone wants more info on the build & kit list then let me know - I may be able to bring solutions as well as problems....

RCA is your camera input to the radio

Pin 12 is V+, video centre pin

the grounds are on pins 23 and 24 these use the same ground point

camera power regulator

12v into 6v regulator to feed the  camera

to put it simply, plug the camera adapter into the car, plug the RCA into the radio connect the ground and the other to a 12v reverse signal
