Now Ive had driven our RAV4 PHEV 2020 the same 50km trip, for the third time the latest month, at 105km/h speed and 10 C outer temp and with nordic winter friction tyres, in HV mode. i even did use the brakes a few times

I (ie the car) was in "eco" and "Charge" zoones sevral times but... the car newer reached EV mode (at least the small green car EV icon never lightened up).

It didnt lightened up until Ive driven 2km in 40 km/h speed (in village)

How come?

Thoughts/Suggestions?

The icon in question lights whenever the ICE stops - and goes out when the ICE starts again. So, the observed behaviour suggests that the traction Battery was in a low state of charge and/or the demands on the 12V system was high.

Quite why, I don't know - 105 kph isn't very fast; 10 degrees C isn't very cold and, perhaps, a little warm for full cold weather tyres. Possibly the additional drag from the tyres ... ???

Thanks.

The weather where I live here in Sweden has varried from -5 C to 10 C this last month (hence the winter, 225/60 R 18 104 XL Conti VikingCont 8 tyres) but all three the trips I mentioned above was in 10 C temp
