My Yaris Cross goes in for its second service on Thursday to my local Toyota dealership. In addition to the the usual upselling of winter checks, air conditioning cleaning, replacement wipers and other motoring add ons, I have also been offered the following crucial necessities:

A display of Teddy Bears

A flask

A bamboo note pad

There are other offers which are too numerous to mention but I’m starting fear that car showrooms will turn into Christmas grottos or haberdashery shops.

Do they have a conveyer belt loaded with unwanted stuff to try & get rid of like the Generation game?
