Rev2 Question

Bear with me peeps as i'm not mechnically minded...!

right under the engine bay of a REV2 Turbo - on/near the manifold to the right of it their is a wire at the end of which looks like a spark plug (sort of)

anyway the other end of it has come apart - therefore i dont know where it ends.

The wire itself is thin and black....

It is very close to where you pull the Oil Dipstick out from... Any1 know where the other end belongs and whats it for...

Cheers

Rash.

I was checking oil on my tubby and when i pulled out the Dipstick, this bloody wire came out with it also...

The car still start up and everything but i'd rather put it back where it belongs..

hmmm.. i believe what you are looking at is indeed the O2 sensor.

hmmm that wire goes on for a fair bit, cant seem to locate the end Rash but yeah im pretty sure its the O2 sensor as well. So far ive routed it under the ic/throttle body pipe->underneath the thin plastic protector along with a bunch of other wires and then underneath the throttle body. If it is the O2 sensor then it must end up at the ECU? If it was disconnected btw it would cause alot of fueling problems.

SORTED

It was the 02 sensor wire but only runs under the first turbo thingy pipe and connects into their - one end of a connector came out - just connected it back in and it sorted....
