Speakers! Please Help

Hi All,

I recently purchased a Yaris (51 Reg) 1.0. I took it in for a service and asked about the side (door) Speakers as no sound was coming out! I was told by the Toyota centre that there were no Speakers actually in the grille!! And also that they could not fit Speakers in the doors, which seems a bit silly to me as there is a space for them.

I would like to upgrade the sound quality in the car. What are my options? Speakers on the back shelf or would it be possible to add speakers in the door. Also where could I go to get them fitted? Halfords?

Thanks for any help :) ,

Gary

Hmm thouhgt most yaris came with door Speakers, never mind, yes it is possible to fit door Speakers, if not mistaken believe they are 13".....some1 back me up here

back Speakers are always good as adds some rear sound 2 the car, but then if you are thinking of getting a sub, you may just want to consider up rating all the front speakers as the sub will provide rear bass and may find with 6x9s they are compeating with it...

halfrods will fit them, but will cost u a fair bit and may only fit it if its their own speakers, INO ur best option would be to buy off the net such as

www.cel-direct.com or search in google, ull be able 2 find the speakers alot cheaper, also look in ur local newspaper for local garages, you'll likly find some audio specialists who will be happy to help with fitting

Thanks! Yeah I can't believe there are grilles for door Speakers but no Speakers in them! weird! Is it a big job to add door Speakers, with the wiring etc. I know a little about cars but I'm no expert! Is there a specific type of speaker that will fit?

Cheers,

Gary

It only has 11k on the clock! Soon change that! Yeah I can't get over dummy grilles! It's like it's pretending to have door Speakers! The cars got a CD player so I can't understand it. I'll probably find a local garage to fit some new ones.
