Rear Arches, Paper Thin.

I've heard that the rear arches on MR2's are paper thin and easily damaged. I know a few of you have put rev 6 bodykits on the rear - whilst this balances out the look of the car if you have sideskirts etc. does it also act as a strengthener?

Discuss.

Where did you hear that?? Iv'e never really looked into it but in all my years of MR2's I never heard anyone comment on it as an issue or common fault.

Cheers

I would say they are just like any other car. If they're smacked they'll dent.

As for the rev6 type "p" ( I think that's what they're calling them ) rear splitters... apart from making the car look better I doubt they actually do anything else.
