Can you change a 6 seat picnic to 7 seats? I assume you would replace the 2nd row two seats with a bench (3 seats) but am not sure, also Toyota UK could not help.

I've never seen a 6 seater Picnic. There only seems to be 7 seater versions here. I've found that the seventh seat (the middle seat in the middle row) isn't very user friendly. i.e. it's okay for a short journey but nobody would want to sit there for a long trip. It isn't very comfortable.

Could you tell me if the middle seat is a separate seat or is it part of a bench of three seats, ie 1 large seat.?

I think the UK must have only got 6 seats.

The extra seat is only for a small child?

Thanks.

Hi Xjnj

Yes, you were correct in your first post. The middle seat in my Picnic (Ipsum) is a bench seat. The part that you sit on is in one piece. The back rest is split in the middle so either half can fold forward. This is what makes it uncomfortable to sit on for too long. Your spine is in the crack between the seats.

It only has a lap safety belt but an adult can use this seat.

I hope this helps you.

Were are you? I'm in New Zealand.

Thanks for the reply, I'm in the UK. I will now see if can track down someone who can supply this bench seat.

I know I dont have a Picnic, but my Lucida has a similar setup, but the rear seat is a bench for three persons (ah huh)

BUT...I have a weird question, how do I flip the middle two seats to be facing inwards, limo styles?

Cheers ;)

[edit] nevermind, i found i was turning the damn things from the wrong side of the car, so of course they didnt want to turn...[slaps head]
