Mr2 Colour Question

My Brothers after an MR2 and has been to look at a few for about 5k

He has seen one that is silver but the top half is black. It looks original?

Is this some sort of special edition? The owner hadnt got a clue but said he had also seen a celica half silver and black aswell?

Hope i'm not making myself look daft over here, I feel lost outside the Yaris section!

What year is the MR2?? from memory they did that on some models in 96.

i think some rev 4's and some rev 5's had that colour scheme, in any case i've seen a rev 5 just like that near where i work. (the car hes looking at doesnt happen to be near park royal does it?)

Thanks guys, it was an N plate.

He was a bit worried it wasnt original or import due to the colour scheme as none of us have seen one before

Would have thought it was newer than an N plate though?
