I like one of the other posters here have just test driven a Corolla T-Sport, against a few others, and am really fancying one. Now again after the test drive dealers price was £16k on the road. This was for the lastest one with the damper on. :P

How can I tell the difference between a facelift and pre facelift car if looking on internet sites.

As some internet sites are still offering t-sport 5 doors, when I believe the current model t-sport is only 3-door. :cacker:

Thanks for any help on this and any info you have on buying from the internet sites, as newregcars.co.uk seem to be the cheapest I have found, but may go with a more well known name (ie virgin) if I cant get any good info about these people. Only have had one feedabck on them & it was negative....

Also has anybody tried haggling the price with the dealer as I have no part ex.

trev.

the new T-Sport is still availiable in 5 door variants.

the best way to check though that you are getting a new model and not remaining stock is ask them to send you apicture of the model on offer.

as you know the facelift has the 'teardrop' style headlights and the taillights have round indicators in. also the T-Sport has a bodykit too

I just had a look at that site, that is a realy good deal on a new car, only thing there is no way of telling from that picture if the car you are getting is the current version, looks like a pre-face lift T3 as far as i can tell when you go to build your own car,

The post above this has all the clues to look for in the new version.

Wondering what the style pack is??

any case i would ask them for a full spec as well as an up to date picture.

How does this car situation work, to me the cars on the above site seem like last years, the suggested retail is £15,995 on the T Sport this year and according to my local Toyota dealer the new T sport is only availiable in 3 door, so are these cars cheaper because they are last years or is there more money in these cars than the dealers will let on...

Ok continuation of the search.

Went to local dealer and asked about his best price no trade in and mentioned found the stuff on the web. Said list price is list no variations no discount, plus then said wouldn't get one from the web if I tried.

Got up walked out.

Anyway missus had been to another toyota dealer where she works. They had a pre-facelift model in. test drove that one today and found out where the non cosmetic upgrades are.

1 gear box handling slightly easyer for uper gears cos of kinked gear shift. Didn't quite understand, but did miss acouple of upshifts and hit 4 insteat of 6 on the pre facelift.

2 Front end suspension is totaly redesigned and a lot tighter to drive. New one went great  , old one had squeaky tyres...

The new ones are only 3 door, and there are still some pre-face lift ones about that were showroom cars ect, and these seem to be the ones that will be available on the internet.

Anyway new dealer imeadiatly knocked a grand off the new one and thru in metaclic paint, mats & tank of fuel. So it's just a case of sorting the cash and then looks like I may become a regular here.

trev
