If its any consolation, my exhaust was playing up last month. Whjen I went to get it fixed I was told that the paseo exhaust was one piece (don`t ask where I snapped it!!!!) My baby cost my £320 big uns!!! CAT systems are a real !Removed!!! Was saving up for a full powerflow exhaust system. Thats up the swanny now!!!

Saving up for my new timing belt now, as she currently riding at 56500, and will see 60000 by middle of October!!

Did the Gold member card help with decreasing the price a bit?

That seems a lot for whats getting done <_< Do you know where the oil leak is?

To be honest most would be jobs you could do yourself like the belts, shocker, tyre from your local independent fitting station etc. Give it a go mate

I think he/she is trying to screw you mate. the belts and things aren't that dear. and you can go to thick fit and get your tyre and shock sorted for next to no money.

how bad is the oil leak?

id buy another car mate, problem is with old cars you might spend all that money and someting else goes wrong 2 months down the line... mellow was planning on selling his...

I know - but if i go out & buy another car then i could run into the same/worse problems. Mind you i have been looking at MR2's

i can afford to get it repaired & to be honest - if these guys do it i know im getting a fully functional car back.

Suki - unfortunatly the place i took it was a mitsubushi (sp?) garage - my local MR T isnt on the gold list & wanted over 300 quid just for a class b service. - no where else would touch an Import.

looks like im stuck with the bill

That's the problem with gold, some places never even heard of it before.. think TOC needs to spread out the word again to more toyota dealers
