Where can i get some servicing info better than the "dont touch kiddies, visit the nice man with the till" info in the user guide ?

Right now i need to know the plug gaps for a 1.3 if anyone can assist ?

Really though, is there a book anywhere that can give me the stuff i used to be able to get in a Haynes manual when they werent printed on Izal loo paper, and covered recent motors. :help:

My manual (2001 version) has:

Spark plug gap, mm (in):

1SZ-FE and 1NZ-FE engines 0.8 (0.031)

2NZ-FE engine 1.1 (0.043)

This is the old 1.3 - no idea about the new one. Its under the specifications chapter, 279 service specifications, so presumably the newest manual would have the specs for the new 1.3.

Plus come pre-gapped these days anyway dont they?

My mate works for Toyota Dealer and he says hes never gapped a plug since he worked there!

Thanks for the info everyone, i saw the standard plugs recommended arent special as far as i can see, but toyota say they should last 40k without change, so after 20k without any problems, i'll take a peek and see if they need regapping.
