Problems?

Hi there,

I was just wondering if any of you suffer from the following problems. My last and my current corolla both suffer from the same thing.

They never seem to go into reverse easily - I know others with this problem too, is there an easy fix or is it just a 'bug'? Its a pain in the backside either way.

I get this also, I think it maybe how much you have pressed the clutch pedal. I find lifting off then pressing the pedal again works it just makes me look like a idiot when I am trying to park :lol:

Another thing you can do is slot it into the gear next to it.

I think it aligns the mechanism or something, (sorry not a very technical person)

I still have to do that.

a 5sp is quite known for this problem.

the reason you cant just slide it into reverse is because it has no scyncros..

simply push it into second gear (dont reelase clutch or anything), and then jump it over to reverse, it will clunk (the reassuring *your in* sound).

and you all should know, dont be moving at all when pushing into reverse... the wheels push the gear around, and griding will occur the second you push the geubiklector there....
