My Sera Past Its Mot Yesterday!

Yup, yesterday my Sera past it's MOT first time for the second year in a row. Don’t think ive ever had a motor before and it pass first time without something needed doing.

However, my drivers rubber boot on the drive shaft is begining to crack and is letting oil and greese out, (and on my nice new alloys too!)

Toyota priced me at £55 plus VAT.

Anyone else know where I can get one any cheeper?

A genuine Toyota gaiter is about £ 12, plus fitting. Same as Starlet I believe.

For some reason, my local Toyota dealer quoted me £55 plus VAT. this is a kit of an inner and outer drive shaft gater.

Do you think their trying to rip me off?

Sorry. I quoted the wrong price. Steering rack gaiters, another common MoT issue are around that price. Genuine CV boots are expensive.

I can supply pattern part inner or outer boots from stock at £ 8.90 each plus VAT and postage.
