My motor (mr2 turbo) is due a full service and im wondering how much one will cost for this car in a garage as opposed to buying the parts.

cheers

Oh and one more thing? Is doing a service on this car manually, a pain in the bkside seeing as its a import + turbo.

Just collected mine from Mr T in Cardiff, wanted to keep the full TSH up to date but having just paid them £140  I am not sure I will do so any more. But hey - at least they wash and vacuum it too!

BTW this was a N/A - I have seen Mr T get upset when you mention imports!

Earl - I see from your sig you are in Cardiff. Can you recommend any garages I could take my car to to get the brakes sored. I used to take my Golf to Welsh VW in Sully but I dont think they would be too happy servicing the 2!

Cheers Mate

The first one I'd recommend you stay away from is Mr T!!!

There's a couple of new places sprung up in the last couple of weeks. First is one on Penarth Road (opposite Peter Boshier Jones), and the one I reccomend to everyone around here is V-Spec Performance in Pontypridd. I know it's a 15 mile trek, but these guys really know what they're doing. They specialise in Honda's, but will do an excellent job on virtually anything Japanese.

V-Spec Performance

Hope this helps

I was on about this subject last week. Mr T quoted me £170 for a basic service which included an oil change and not much else! I got a workshop manual off eBay and I'm going to do the serivice myself.
