It seems as if Swiss toyota garage - Frey - has developed and is selling street legal Kompressor kit for Corolla TS.

We are talking about 272 HP@8,2k and 262 NM@4k RPM... thats around 50% improvement.... and it will make your TS go 0-100 in 5.9 sec...yummmmie

and it will cost you around 6,6k Euros or 4.5k GBP...

What do you think? ;-)

Hi spwolf

I think its too expensive. And take into consideration that

in the 6.6k cost you must add the cost to put the SC in the

car. I have also serious doubts about the reliability as I have

never heard that company before. If it was for blitz then we could discuss it. Anyway I think that SC is the only way to

increase the power of the car substantially. The solution of the

chip that increases the power to 230bhp I think it is crap. If it

was so easy why didn' t Toyota do it?

gramacar - you might know my opinion of the chip - it is just stupid rumor...

as to SC - reason it is so expensive - it actually comes with installation and i bet they modified parts of the engine as well so it can be reliable still...

6,6k isnt that much for so much power, my concern would be with how to transfer all that power to front wheels...

recently someone said 8k extra for Celica TS isnt so much more (:P) - you can look at it this way - for 8k, you can get 272 HP Corolla, nicely equiped, with quick shift, lowered suspension, TTE spoilers and nice sub...... and still have some money to buy something for your woman so she wont be too mad ;-)

Hi spwolf

Women will always be mad my friend. Its in their nature.

As for the conversion don' t forget that you will also say

goodbye to your warranty. By the way in what country do

you live and how many years is Toyota warranty there? (just curious)

Here in greece toyota gives 6 years full warranty so I

would think it a lot before I made something to compromise it.
