The Missus New Car...

Ok guys,

I'm looking for a 2000 model Yaris SR for the missus (been told that the later ones weren't as good in the engine dept, and that the exhaust was different - summat to do with a Remus back box (always thought they were bike zorts myself!).

How much should I be paying for a tidy model with around 20k on the clock?

i would say about 4500 - 5500 for a decent one in good nick but i would get a diesel they are faster with all the touque and my dad might be gettin his chipped and a custom k&n fitted so it will be pushing 110bhp - 115bhp and nearly 200ft lb of touque

Iv got a Yaris SR i am going to be selling shortly!!

is a V-reg 2000 but has about 60k on the clock so i wont i magine you would be interested!i will probably stick it in the paper for 4800 or 4900 and hopefully get about 4600+

Is that true? the diesels are faster than the 1.3 petrols?

I've got a 2000 Yaris SR. Mine had 70k on the clock when i got it too, and it's been fine. No problems at all. Just wish I'd paid a bit more attention to all the scratches and stonechips!!

the d4d is a right torquey little thing

i had a test day with one when they first came out and it would have panned my old 1.0GS!!

i bet on mid range grunt when on boost it will have a good go at the TS
