has anyone ever tried it? this is the decoking stuff in a can that you spray into the air intake. i remember reading about it when it 1st came out, and it was proven to have about 5bhp power gains, but i remember the article being sponsored by the manufactuers!

so has anyone ever tried it?

I tried it a few months ago on my MR2, seemed to make a noticable difference, but results may vary depending on the age and condition of your car.

I'd be tempted to give it a go, especially on older cars.

If you don't have a de-cat or a straight through exhaust system it might be worth taking the cat out because your engine will be spitting out wads of coke and other crap whihc could damage your cat.

I read a reviw of it, I think it was in Fast Car UK... They put an old nova on the rollers, then used the stuff, then put it on the rolelrs again. It made 8Bhp I think, and tick-over was a LOT smoother.

It isnt going to give you a 5bhp gain over the manufaturers figures.

Its just as all other such products are, they help remove **** from your engine to help it run properly. I tried it once and i think i remember it helping.

no, i know that. but it'd be 5 more than whatever its at now (supposed to be 120, but obviosuly it wont be).

I ran some of that through my AE86, it bellowed loads of white smoke out the exhaust, which makes you think it is actually doing something!

But in fact if you sprayed any aerosol into your intake it will smoke!

But i can safely say it done absolutly nothing for my performance! And it defo didnt decoke my engine, due to when my headgasket blew and i stripped the engine down, the valves and pistons were still very coked!

The only thing it done was made my tickover slightly smoother! Not worth it cuz my engine is neva on tickover!

Blimey! A nova making 8bhp? must have been about 3 before the magical wonder juice!!!!!
