Power Steering Has Gone Bye Bye!

Aas suppose to be at a RR day tomorrow but as sods law has it.. my power steering has decided to f**k up on me!!! :censor: :ffs:

Cant !Removed! believe it!!! i know there aint a leak and the P/S fluid is fine..

a mechanic mate of mine told me that it could be the P/S motor that could be the problem...

Can anyone mechanically minded shed some light on this issue?

Does the P/S light just come on?

Have you tried the 'turn the ignition on and off really fast' but without turning the engine on trick?

It cured mine.. turned out to be the relay sticking.

Actually its both. Hydraulic power provided by electric pump. The most common failure seems to be a sticking relay. Turning the ignition on and off quickly about 20 times normally clears it.

Well this is weird! Just picked mine up from the Toyota garage today having had the power steering relay burn out on mine. Hopefully yours is just sticky like the other guys have said. My fluid was fine and it was traced back to the fuse box where the relays live.

Hope you sort it because I just paid a lot of money!
