Tyres...

Does anyone know where I can get tyres really fast ??

My fronts are well worn on the inside ( down to the brown stuff ). I knew my tracking was way out, but I simply didn't bother getting it sorted.

Fair enough mytyres.co.uk have cheap prices, but the delivery times etc are never gauranteed.

So... does anyone know somewhere that I can order toyos from and expect them as quick as possible ? I'm a bit nervous driving around with the tyres in the current state.

thanks

Jim

... the local place ??...

I would goto ats, but I ordered a set of goodyear eagle f1's from them a while back and didn't actually go into pay for them etc as I found tyres cheaper elsewhere... lol.

Will somewhere like quick fit order them for me, but not fit them ?

You can't actually get my car into kwickfit because the ramp is too harsh... also they can't get a jack under my car because it's too low.... lol.

I'm gonna go see if they'll order them for me now. Want them b4 the next meet. don't fancy bombing around on duff tyres.

Lol, my front N/S tyre was a different brand to the O/S tyre and was very low on the inside. I had a 205/40 17" Nankang NS-1 fitted for £50 from a local place. Feels so much grippier on the road now. It seems like a decent tyre for the money IMO.

Got some Toyos for £100 each from Network Q ... not bad price !

Gonna go get them fitted now.

Hows the new tyres mate? have you had your tracking done yet?

Posted

nah.. no one could do my tracking because it wouldn't fit on the ramp ?!? lol

Anyway.. the garage where you picked up my old bumper from is gonna do the tracking for me next Wed.

The tyres are good... the car actually feels different somehow. The steering feels alot lighter for starts. I like.... lol

note to self... don't drive on seriously illegal tyres again... lol.

Your old tyres were probably running at 10psi knowing you

That'll be why it feels lighter...

lol.... but if I find out I'm low on oil I then have to start posting ...

"what oil do I need to top up my oil?"

Can I use anything ? I don't know anything about cars... blah blah blah.

I bet you were suprised to find I had 2 tool kits in my boot the other week... lol.
