Erm.. dunno... he said it's cos if it's chipped alot etc the red will still be under there??

Thats why Jim, the red paint would show thru on chips but if they paint it a lighter colour they would have to prime it anyway so less chance of that happening.

Thought you would prime the whole car anyway regardless of the shade/colour, you shouldnt get the old colour coming thru.

Hope mine doesnt do that.. it'll look pantz.

nah, I doubt a body shop would prime a whole car ,

unless it really needed to.
