Yeah its that "gangsta" talk that really gets to me! Why would you want to say "dat" instead of "that"?

I haveta (sorry, have to) agree. Sure I use text speak on my mobile but even then, only when the phone flashes 'SMS 3' at me and I think what it is going to cost to send the message.

Here there is no need at all. Some people use it to look 'cool' but some use it to disguise the fact that they can't spell.
