Garage ********ui SPL Departure 2 exhaust...

Ok, so I've waited months for one of these pretty scarce exhausts that I've allways wanted ever since owning an MR2 turbo.

Last weekend at Roguesystems thanks to Patrick and Matt, it was fitted hooray!

The black grill and fog light are due to be removed at the weekend and then the Brasso's out for maximum shine!

Pics are below and a few of the custom LED rear lights simply for the hell of it!

PS: nice to meet Bibbs up there to!

Are they LED'S  ??

Yes they are LED's in a cluster format.

They illuminate immediately, for instance the indicators are very different to an incandescent bulb, it's simply on or off.

The unit's (made by Hella) are far brighter than regular bulbs, and at night do look simply stunning - if a little blinding from behind with the brakes on!

It's so very difficult to capture LED rear lights with a camera though and get the same appearance on screen to what you see in the flesh.

Weather was pants for taking photos today, I was simply playing with the light levels to try and capture the lights illuminated.

is it nice and loud ?

It's not particually loud but I'm guessing thats down to the cat still being fitted.

My old exhaust a straight through 5Zigen style single exit was very unrestrictive and very very loud. (Even with the cat fitted)

In recent tests just a tad quieter than that of a Blitz Nur-spec but a very different note.

The Departure 2 has a very low rumbling tone to it and I must admit the car does seem a touch laggy but hopefully I'll resolve that by fitting the de-cat I have.

It's still by far my favourite twin exit exhaust available for the MR2 styling wise.
