Help! Loose Cable/wire

Recommended Posts

sladd.jpg

this is the loose wire, i have no idea what it is for.

i took the pic after i had taken off the glove compartment, taken towards the stereo behind the centre dashboard.

my passengerside electric window does not work anymore and my antenna has never worked (it doesn't go out when i turn on the stereo)

if any of you mr2 gurus on here knows what it is i'd be very happy if you could tell me :)

note: this is a LHD car

There has got to be a plug that it goes into close by ..

Gimmie more details of where EXACTLY we are looking at ..

it is exactly behind the stereo, in the center dashboard, well a bit under the stereo

Right .. the wires that are there .. Clock, AC, Radio, Ciggy lighter (and light) ..

Erm .. dunno what else .. I've had the dash of so many times ..

well my clock works, Radio is working, havn't tried ciggy lighter and i dopn't have AC

Its quite possible that it doesn't do anything. To save money you find that manufacturers use one harness for all models(bulk buying is cheaper). Obviously some of the options aren't fitted on some cars so you have spare outlets.

thanks for all the help :)

Post a close up pic of the plug and the colour of the wires that go in to it and we'll be able to work out where the wire should go.....
