I have a 1990 toyota corolla stationwagon. It has the 4AFE engine. It recently began to become very difficult to start, and it jerks and hesitates to run until it gets warmed up about 10 miles down the road. The car then smooths out and runs fine, until it sits parked for several hours, then the problem starts over. I am thinking the diaphram in the fuel pump is bad and not holding pressure when the car is parked. But I can't afford a $200 gamble right now, any suggestions?
