it measure the air flow and temperature into the engine

on your airbox assembly on the right hand side (seen from driving position I'll add).

When you get an induction kit specific for your engine it should come with an adaptor plate (the metal bit in your pictures) which will have a hole in it to screw the AFM in. Don't forget to use the gasket.

oook! iv never seen this sensor before? maybe i should take a look!!

there's a rubber O-ring between the air pipe and the AFM to seal off the unit and not to draw extra air in that would be unmetered and unfiltered.
