Sports Thermostat

I think the theory is that you'll open up the coolant path to the rad at 71'C which will mean it will try and keep the car running cooler during normal use and mean it takes a little longer to get to a higher temperature (But not much longer). However this won't have any real benefit when thrashing the car and especially in high temperatures, only when you come back down to lower loads and speeds.

Plus with no temp guage on a Yaris (Standard) how will you tell if things are OK?

90% of engine wear is when engine is cold, i would leave standard one in, once upon a time it would have been called a summer thermostat
