Overheating Gt4 St185

my gt4 has just started overheating ,

it goes up to just below h and then back down to half after a few mins

then back up again every now and again , more regular the more i drive it

it only started happening a few days ago

any ideas ??

the garage reckon it may be a sticky thermostat , but won't touch it as they don't deal with this type of car

will the thermostat be easy to replace , if so where is it located on the engine ?

as i haven't got round to getting a manual yet ??

any help/advice would be appreciated

thanks

Jonathan

Find the radiator, at the bottom is a big hose that comes back up to the engine, at the top end of that hose is an aluminium housing that bolts to the engine. The thermostat is inside that housing. Its held on by 2 nuts. You would be well advised to fit a new gasket on there too, I think the part number for the gasket is 16325-62010.
