hey guys, as u may see, im looking for a paseo bootlid and bumper, or sumwhere in surrey where i can get it repaired (bodyshop or whatever).

thing is i had a parking incident and its dented my bootlid right at the crease, and the bumper's slightly misaligned, plus has a small indentation.

the car's a 1997 Toyota Paseo Si in Super white, please let me know as its been like this since june and it just kills me to see my seo like that!! :crybaby:

pm cheeky rick for the bootlid, think some1 else was having the bumper, u might just need the brackets for the bumper, they break quite easily, they are about 3 each side from toyota, i broke mine a couple of times

hi, im sending this question out again as i was very close to getting cheeky rick's bootlid but fact of the matter is that lincoln is just way too far away from me, and i doubt he would want to wait until half term for me to get it which is the only time id be able to drive up there.

so again, im looking for an Si bootlid (with spoiler, or without spoiler but with the mounting points) preferably in Super white, and near surrey, please let me know!! thanks!

comeon, someone MUST have a bootlid :(

is yours beyond repair??

I know repairs/resprays cost a bit, but it must be easier than finding a mint condition Super White bootlid !

no it can be repaired but i mean put it this way:

i went to a local bodyshop and told them that i might be able to supply a bootlid (£200) that theyd had to respray and then fit, then they would refit the bumper, and polish all my other paint defects with t-cut, and the quote came in at £350...so £150 for the work (which excludes drilling holes in the boot, and putting the spoiler as the boot in question didnt have one)

i then asked them how much it would cost to use my boot...he sed that to hammer out the dent, REALIGN the bootlid (coz its slightly twisted) and do the other aforementioned work, it would be £450....so thats £300 more than if i got a bootlid in the first place.

i dunno, im gonna go check tomorrow some place near sevenoaks that resprayed the roof, bootlid and side panels of my friends mg zr (all in pearlescent paint) for a measly £200....and apparently its a well known place, they do ferraris and the like....

its just that iff i had a bootlid it would be a whooooooole lot easier :(

sorry to bring the post off topic - which place did your friend use in sevenoaks??

im pretty sure they have it..its sat ontop of another car, on the right hand side as you come into the yard. its like a torquisy blue. i only member it coz my mate and i were in the yard every other day trying to find electric window regulators for his car, that hadnt been butchered silly.

oh rite, cool. yeh then ill probably just give em a visit during half term then! thanx a lot man. i mean ok, i AM sending the car to my mums uncle to get it fixed, but having a fixed bootlid would make it all a whole lot cheaper!

lets just hope the guys in middlesex still have the bootlid of the paseo intact

djns, jus wanted to say..............THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!! i jus went to the scrappers today in middlesex (45 miles to get there!! first motorway journey on my own, woo) and got myself the bootlid. lol, u were right man, even when i got there they werre like " toyota presis ? toyota pareo??? " so i jus asked if i could take a look around, and i went deep into the yard and it was there!! lol.

so £45 for the bootlid, and im well chuffed (jus nervous now coz i did 100mph down the m25 and i think there were cameras........i was only overtaking!) :fear::blink:

only problem is that its blue, and that its a st boot, so has no spoiler, so ill have to drill those in :crybaby: but n e hoo, thnx again man!!
