Themostat Location On Gt4 St185

does anybody know exactly where the thermostat is located on the GT4 ST185 ??

I've got it in bits at the moment trying to change it, is it the part on the top right right hand side of the engine looking from the front of the car held on by 2 bolts ???

on a st202 its at the end of the bottom radiator hose marked on this pic. thermostat is situated in an alloy colored housing shaped a bit like a bell.yours should be basically the same.

I havent had mine apart but i think that your right jonny. The 2 bolt housing under the distributor cap me thinks.

cheers for that, you were spot on , thats exactly where it was

i managed to get it done after taking intercooler and heat shield off

working in tight space , but its done now and not ooverheating anymore
