Just watched a program where they were bragging about the police having the latest high speed 'copter.

So how come the tax payer caughs up for police helicopters yet air ambulances have to be funded by charities? Seems to me that we have our priorities wrong.....or is it just me?

Police are funded by the Home Office (your council tax goes towards the funding)

The Ambulance service is funded by he NHS, helicopters are not deemed necessary, and it’s all down to your regional Ambulance Service whether they want to fund a helicopter by fund raising and charity.

£800 MILLION+ for a now unused Millennium Dome and Air Ambulances are kept in the air by pure donations and sponsors.

Scandalous :ffs:

By the way, the National Lottery doesn’t contribute either.
