:lol::lol:

He's very lucky they only took the wheels!

If it were Johannesburg, they would have taken all of it!

Hilux chassis are in huge demand as the fit the Hiace (MPV type thing) that they use as taxi's.

You see loads of cars of various types up on bricks though. I think the wheels could be used as spares for the taxi's too.

Sorry I didn't mean to laugh, but if living in SA, you would expect something like that to happen if you park your vehicle on the road.

I think that picture (or the pick-up) is very old as they changed the license plate designs over 7 years ago.

I think that picture (or the pick-up) is very old as they changed the license plate designs over 7 years ago.

Being the owner of the vehicle in question, I can state categorically and without fear of retribution, (to quote our local politicians' favourite saying) that the alleged crime took place on the night of 16/17 September 2004, and had it not been for the neighbour ringing my doorbell at 7 am to inform me, I probably would have climbed straight in and try to drive off without noticing anything amiss.

The police informed me that these were very well mannered thieves, as at least they left the car on bricks (although most of the bricks were ripped out of my own driveway).

As for the dog looking a bit shady, I think he is just confused, not having a wheel to ***** against.

PS. Thank you maleborn for bringing my plight to the attention of the rest of the world :). All donations gladly accepted.
