Im after modding my engine (eventually) but before i can do that i need to make sure that my car is running perfect, so in doing so im wanting to set up gauges for turbo boost etc etc.

What are the best to use in doing this, and where have people set them up in there mr2.

Also, what gauges do i need? turbo boost and what else.

Cheers

so what type of gauges do you boys use then? + where have you fitted them?

Ive seen some fitted next to the windscreen running up the side towards the door.

Also, are they hard to fitt?

Cheers

Its like 100 questions isnt it. ha ha :ffs:

I only have an omori boost gauge fitted in the stock location, looks very good. Gauges on a-pod pillars can obstruct your vision slightly. You may be better trying to get them mounted in a DIN slot if you only have a single DIN stereo unit.

Eclipse oil temperature (electrical... 50oC-150oC) and boost gauge (mechanical... -1 - 1.5 bar).

I've used these as they are as close to the standard dials as possible as far as needle colour, font etc is concerned. At the end of the day, as long as the gauges are calibrated, just buy the one you like the look of.

I think I paid about £80 altogether for them both from Demon Tweeks.

my boost controller also acts as a electronic gauge up to 2bar.

and so does the turbo timmer and S-AFCII

the S-AFCII also shows me the throttle, Voltage, Rpm.

i suppose a Nos guage wouldnt be a bad improvement :D
