Hi all,

I am a very angry and upset T Sport owner!!!

Parked in a car park (massive by the way) not near any other cars & obstructing nothing. A stupid woman drivg a Volvo V40 reversed straight into my car at about 20mph along the passengers side, I am totally gutted, the cars in a bit of a mess, only 8 weeks old.

I would have been happier if it had been ruled a right off, but no the whole side seemingly can be repaired. Value of car will be ******* nothing like what it cost now even if I insist on genuine parts.

Does anyone know if I can insist on a new car replacement seeing as it is only 2 months old through their insurance seeing as it has been totally de-valued.

sorry mate. Dont think u can claim a new car, unless the insurance company evaluates it as a right off..

Firebreather is right in Aus many of the insurance companys in the first 12 months if your car is claimed as a write off they will replace it. to bad if ur just under a write off.

you can claim the value that the car will loose on resale aswell. i did on a lexus, and got £1900 extra in my skyrocket for its devaluled amount

The garage that repairs it will only use genuine parts anyway

Most insurance companies have it in the small print

I'v calmed down a bit today. Car going in to repair centre in a week and they assure me i'll no even know it happened after getting it back.

The volvo driver said it was my fault for parking in the carpark,

i'll say no more!!!

The worst thing about it is the passengers seat now squeeks and rattles, although they are to have a look at this, we all know that's for good!!!!!
