bought my 1st celica yesterday, an F reg 4 wheel drive turbo

Shes in OK condition except for a burst power steering hose and a leak at the back of the engine. It seems to be a really small hose (theres 2 of em) just behind the induction manifold right at the back of the engine, what are they for and will it leak much water while im driving it??????

2nd thing is a want to drive the car now but if it runs out of power steering fluid ill wreck the pump, should i just cut the belt running to the motor?????

How come you bought one of them mate? I bet it was cheap! They dont seem to hold any value anymore!

Repair the PAS pipe is your only option! If you remove the belt you wont be able to steer it!

Trust me, if you havnt ever driven a car which has PAS but is not working you wil no what its like!

It is so heavy it unbelivable! Its because your trying to move the fluid in the rack with no assistance and it just try's to compress the oil instead of pumping it round! If you get my drift!

The only 2 coolant pipes i can think of is the ones going to the throttle body for cold start! You will want to repair that aswell cuz otherwise your revs will start to get erratic and go up and down all the time!

Hope this helps buddy! But dont go spending too much money on this, i wanna see that levin of yours done! ;)
