more questions for the 96 Rav-4 GX.

1) This one will probably make me sound stupid, but is it common for your headlights to dim when using the electric windows?

2) Did the toyota standard alarm have an visual indicator inside the car? I only have the keys so cant activate the alarm, and i have an led for some reason in one of the empty switches in the centre console.

You could have a weak alternator or Battery if the lights dim allot, or the window is tight in the frame and making the window motor work overtime.

The generation 1 Rav 4 only has a alarm tell-tail on the lower dash, as you say its in the middle of one of the switch blanking plates.
