Quick Question...

Can anyone tell me where the fuse for the sidelights is located?

My sidelights and instrument lights are not coming on. I'm guessing that they're on the same circuit.

Thanks guys.

might be in the kickpanel near the accelerator pedal. You have to be outside the car to see it inside if that makes any sense

Nope! There isn't a panel near the accelerator.

Any more suggestions?

Earl, there is a fusebox located in the drivers side kick panel. You need to get your head under the dash and look to the right to see it.

Woah! You learn something new every day!

Thanks guys. Didn't even know there was a fuse panel there!

Ok, here's the deal. My instrument binnacle, sidelights and rear lights are not working for some strange reason. I pulled the 15amp fuse out yesterday and it had blown. Replaced the fuse and tried the lights. *POP*.

Fuse no 2 gone.

Only thing i've done in the last couple of days is removed the head unit and had it replaced with a JVC unit. Would this have anyhting to do with it? Is the HU on the same circuit?

Thanks again guys.

does the HU cut out aswell??

sounds like a wires trapped on the HU and its split the insulation which is now shorting on the chassis or any metallic part of the dash board

strip it back out and check nothing been caught

HU is ok!

Cheers dude. I'll take a look tonight.

iirc the head unit and cig lighter are on the same fuse, not sure about sidelights though

Found it!

It was the band expander! the live from it was shorting out and touching the chassis.

All fixed now.

Thanks guys.
