Prius In Texas

Just been to Austin, Texas, on business for a few days y'all. :D

Locals tell me that women drive SUVs and men drive pickups in Texas. However, there is hope......

Saw an 04 Prius pull up outside IBMs labs and saw a Classic pulling into a shopping mall.

Interestingly, there were two 04s in the rental car park when we took the car back. :yes:

I also just returned from the US and Canada - trying to catch up with all the new posts over the last couple of weeks!

Left JFK airport for the cab ride into Manhattan and within minutes saw a Prius in front. Followed this for a while and when this disappeared another one took its place.

Took a stroll in Central Park and there was a whole line of Prius's belonging to the park rangers (in green of course).

In the UK its a rare occasion to see one, but they seem to be very common in the US and we also saw several in Canada.

Forgot to say ..... after 16 days in the garage, my Prius started first time. No worries about the Battery going flat.

I work in NYC and the previous version Pirus were commonly used by various NYCity gov't agencies, so it's not uncomnon to see them here.

They are fairly common in the suburbs of NYC due to the stop and go traffic which kills any kind of decent gas milage in "normal" cars. (Civic Hybrids are also popular in the City and 'burbs now). :thumbsup:
