Guaranteed for 8 years or 100,000 miles. That’ll do for me!

Dread to think what the replacement cost is but I probably won't be the owner by then.

when the 04's come out of warrenty, it will prob be a lot cheaper as i think there will be loads more built by then so it will bring the price down, and the technology will have moved on and you might get a better pack.

£700 sounds steep but I'll have saved that in Road Tax in 8 years.

Mind you, it's only expensive if you need to replace it. I remember in the early 80s folks told me to buy a Ford or a Leyland car because parts were cheap. There was a reason parts were cheap.....they sold so damn many of them. I bought my first Nissan back then on the basis that I probably wouldn't have to buy any parts. I was right. Driven Jap cars ever since, except for a couple of company cars that were Vauxhall and a Peugeot. It reminded me why I bought Japanese

  • 1 month later...

I priced on up a few years back when they came out , I had to replace an inverter on one (£5300) and thought I would see how huch for a battrey pack If I rember it was about £9000. Rember toyota are selling these cars at a loss so they can get them out on the road!

My guess would be that it may have been true in the early days of the Classic but they are selling 04s as fast as they can build them. The parts must be a commodity item by now...surely? <_<
