On the Digital Dash present on the Yaris, i have 3 buttons, (1)TRIP (2)CLOCK (3)a speedometer sign. Can anyone tell me what the last speedometer button :help: does as whenever i pressed it and kept it pressed, nothing ever happened. The rest all work ok. thanks

I've only got 2 buttons, the 1 at the right changes the brightness of the display and speed from mph/kph!

Hi there ans welcome to the club...

What country in the EU are you in? As folk have said, we only have the 2 buttons for our dashboard, but we have the digital instruments (apart, of course, from the T-Sport). Can you post a photo of your dashboard?

I know that on left-hand drive cars with those instruments then they cannot change from mph to kph with the right button - it only dims or brightens the dash when the lights are on.

Cheers,

Alan

Im from Malta, but the car is a Japan Import. Today i removed the cover of the buttons to check if the speedo button is connected in any way and i can see the same thing that i c on the other buttons thus it isnt there for nothing. The car is a right hand drive. the button on my left is the TRIP button, the middle one resets the time to 00:00 if kept pressed and still no function for the right button. Ill post a pic ASAP. thx

the last button just adjusts the brightness of your display. :D

basically when you've got your headlights on the speedo automatically dims to reduce glare. if you press this button while your lights are on then you'll toggle between bright and dim

Hiya,

I asked myself that same ques before. The answer is as explained by RFVitz. Till now it is the only use for this button that I have seen <_<

The pic:

dials.jpg

First button is for trips etc, second for time setting, and third for adjusting lighting intensity of dials .

Regards

The digital display is different to that on our cars as well, as can be seen from the pic. I assume that's because the clock is included in the dash display not on a separate lower centre panel like on ours.

Sorted!

Nice one  Didn’t realise the dash is different to UK models; the clock is in the dash, now it makes sense.

wheres the rev counter

Doesn’t have one.

I don’t think they have one on the Echo in the states either; we in the UK have a rather good spec on all models.
