HI Phil,

Fensport advertise them on their website for about £50 don't know if they actually have any in stock though.

Hi there,

Standard accessory available from any Toyota dealer, was option (along with chrome grill) for all corollas 1997-2000 and standard on G6 and G6R.

Comes as complete grill with suround, just undo three screws unclip and slot in your new grill and put back in the 3 screws.

phil, the fensport ones are good. i have one myself. the fitting and everything is good, but the price stated on the site is without VAT or Delivery, so expect to pay something around 70 pounds for it.

also, they should have them in stock

thanks. was hoping to avoid the £70 fensport charge. My grille split as I've tapped the front end. The piece of metal where you screw the grille to seems to have bent so it may be hammer time. Stop. Hammer time.... :D

Yeah you should be able to straighten it out with a rubber hammer. lol :D

I had a wee bump and had to do the same, although I didnt break the grill, just the surround panel. :(

Phil,

If you want a straight replacement for your SR grille (shiney chromed plastic thing) I have one in my garage if you want it.

No, I'm not angry at all.

I'm angry at the 6 inch scratch now on my rear 3/4 panel. i don't know why I bother trying to keep my car in good condition when people wreck my bumpers parallel parking and some **** scratches it.

Oh my god it gets worse! So much worse!

Last night a van or 4x4 (I'm guessing it was one of these by the height of the mark) scraped along side my drivers door and rear 3/4 panel leaving a meter long mark. Why do I bother with a decent car? I've had enough of these people now. I'm gutted. I wish I had a £500 banger that I didn't care about. Just venting my anger!

So, any ideas?

Should I sell it?

Im starting to think exactly the same thing Phil. We spend time and money making our cars mint and how we want them for 90% of the rest of the world to fk up either malitioulsy or by nik nak driving! :ffs:

My car was mint before I moved to Cardiff because I parked on a driveway and in a car park. Now thanks to Roath and Riverside the bodywork is not looking too good. Watch this space, there may be a Corolla for sale soon. I'm starting to think that until I live in an area with off street parking there's no point having a decent motor.

& ...What shocks me is these ignorant people who 'knock' other peoples cars with theres are actually driving new and expensive cars themselves

well the bodyshop guy put a load of laquer (spelling?) over it with a spinning disc thing and it seems a lot better. not 100% but better. there are a few scratches left which I may try to spray myself.
