If you had the power to bring a car back into production what would it be?

I choose the DeLorean.. shame it was short lived!

Also,

Mk2 Escort

Mk1 Golf

There are a few others but I need to think about it!

There are still one or two DeLoreans about , over here. I've seen one in the last year or so.

It isn't quite what you had in mind, but the car I'd bring back, or want to own again if I could get my hands on one, is the Chevy Monza 2+2. The Opel Monza, though General Motors too, was NOT the equal of it. Mine was the 4 in line , 2.5 litre, if I remember correctly. The bigger engined ones must have been something else. :hokus-pokus: :hokus-pokus:

d'ya think it would sell better than the new one?????

a cheap 180 bhp GTi .. it'd never make it into production ..

Too unsafe, too fast, too blah blah blah ..

March Super Turbo!

930cc super charged and turbo charged!

Nissan stopped making these in 1992, only available through import from Japan.

Awesome little pocket rockets, that has massive tunning potential, some even running crazy (but reliable) 200bhp in a car that weighs around 750kg's!

personaly i think they should be left classics.

but it would have to be a 205 T16.

yes laugh it's a 205, but is it?

Subframed, Mid-Engined and Turbo'd; oh and 4wd for good measures.

So not only was it lightning fast on the straights it also handled like it was on rails :thumbsup:

I used to like Espirit V8's, but my bubble burst when i got to drive one.

I'm not joking the interior is out of a austin mini, the rear lights look like there off a mk3 celica and the handbrake is on the right hand, you have to climb over it to get in and out. :(

but saying all that it didnt half pull me in the back of the seat, and the noise that V8 makes is unbelivable

the 'proper' RB26 powered skylines

and the Escort RS Cosworth  one of few cars that made it from mad design sketchs to production instead of a totally boring pile that they normal create. (ok so they did that aswell)

yeah, im with you on the escort cossie...

and i see Jappy's point, even if the Delorian was powered by a terrible Renault lump with a van gearbox, and the build quality was equal to that of a mud hut...
