Best £30 Ever Spent!

My dad has got a 1999 Turbo 2000 Impreza. The only mods he has got are a Recirc Forge BOV/Titanium exhaust/some Samco hoses.

He picked up an ECU from E-bay from a WRX that has been remapped, cost him £30.

Added on another 25HP and the midrange torque difference was easily noticed. Even in 2nd you torque lifted you in the seat at 5000 revs where as before it would just have a nice pull.

I have to say its the best £30 I have ever seen, apart from when we were in Germany we filled the tank with Shell V-Power 100 RON fuel for around £25

Can the MR2 Turbo ECU's be mapped to get more power?

Yep 30 notes. I couldnt believe it and when he told me it increased by 25HP I didnt believe him until I got in.

Apperntly 1998/99/00 ECU's on the Impreza's are all interchangeable.

you can get aftermarket ECUs for the MR2, such as Apexi, Motec etc... or you can get a piggy back ECU such as the unichip.

For £30??!!

I have got the HKS F-CON Pro V-Spec on mine and that cost $1200.00 on some sites

I know about some piggybacks, but this isnt. Just a remapped standard ECU.
