Antenna Location In Carina E Se?

I have a 1997 (R reg) Carina E SE. The antenna got mangled in the car wash but luckily I found a replacement unit in the bargain bucket at Halfords!

Unfortunately I can't work out how to replace it...How does it work its way from above the driver's head to the stereo? I need to pull the old antenna cable now I've attached the new cable to the end. I've opened up the kick-panel by the pedals but can't see anything like an aerial cable

Please help as I now have an aerial hanging out of the side of my car

Gavin :help:

Thanks.

Actually I got hold of the Haynes manual which pointed out that there's a side panel on the dash that you can prise off. The cable runs back up from the pillar to there and then behind the speedo etc to the stereo.

In the end I took it to an car audio specialists, who pulled the cable through in ten minutes (I think they had to remove parts of the dash though).

Anyhow - now happily listening to the radio :D
